In this page, I will display the different content that I have made in my first year at Carolina — video creations and writing samples.
Interview Projects
At Hussman, I have learned valuable interview and content creation skills. Here, I have displayed two short videos discussing student experiences at UNC Chapel Hill. I also have furthered my practice of creating infographics, as displayed under the first video project.

Project 1: An Insider’s View at Kenan-Flagler
This video focusses on Isabela Souto, a sophomore business student at UNC Kenan-Flagler. In this interview – filmed in an “all answer style” – she will discuss her process applying to the B-School. Here, she will offer advice to prospective applicants as well as verbalizing her experience and how her values, such as multiculturalism, have gotten her to where she is today.
“So I would say if you’re a B-school applicant – yes, get involved – but get involved in things that matter to you.”

Project 2: Understanding Accommodations
This video is about Kate Bynum, a first year journalism and Spanish linguistics student at UNC. In this interview – similarly filmed in an “all answer style” – she will discuss getting a concussion in her first semester and how she navigated getting accommodations. Here, she will offer her perspective as a college student who got a traumatic brain injury. At first, the concussion seemed like a joke, but later had a more extreme impact than she thought, causing her to seek academic and housing accommodations.
“I’m an out-of-state student. I’m very far away from home. I’m far away from my support system, and I was really having to advocate for myself in ways that I never previously had.”

Are you a UNC student who also deals with getting accommodations? Feel free to contribute
some of your experiences to this page!

I have also learned the foundations of website building.
Here are two of examples, I learned how to utilize WordPress through tarheels.live and code webpages using HTML/CSS. Both of these websites center around the first video project An Insider’s View at Kenan-Flagler.
I was tasked to use a limited version of WordPress to make website with three pages centering around this project. Following this task, I then had to learn HTML/CSS to make a facsimile, or rough replica.
Learning these skills has been enlightening as my future career will likely deal with UX — user experience — in order to facilitate good outcomes in the field of advertising, public relations or marketing.
